Like Whoa!

Sooo for the two people that probably read this blog, you MAY have noticed that my entries stop at March. Why? Well we were inbetween internet providers and decided we liked not spending the extra dough and we had an ancient desktop and decided it wasn't worth buying Cadillac internet for a Chevette computer. Anywhoo we bought a new lappytoppy last Sunday and so we are now back surfin' the web.

So, what was the big push for a new piece of equipment?? Well, big news on Hale Drive. WE'RE PREGNANT! :) *I'm assuming if you read this, you already know because you either:

A. Know me and we are friends on facebook
B. We are related

but if on the small chance you are an internet stranger, welcome.

Anyway, this is the time I've missed blogging the most. Some of the most fun and interesting things are happening and I've had nowhere to write about it to no one or update family members who are far, far away. I have a friend who did such a fantabulous job, (I'm looking at you And Baby Makes Three...) that I'm thinking I'd like to try to remember as much of this crazy, horrible, wonderful, full bladdered time as possible and then have a little space to share my journey into the unknown of parenthood.

If you're making the trip through the world wide web with me, welcome and strap yourself in, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

I'm so excited, I'm so...scared!

Props to those that know the reference to my favorite Saved by the Bell episode in the title! :)

Since this is my first entry into the blog world I am a little excited and a little scared. I guess I shouldn't care what other people think and this blog is mostly for me as a virtual diary of my life and funny things that happen and to my family that I have spread across the good ole' US of A, think of this as my annoying Christmas letter but a lot more sarcastic and honest.

For the strangers out there my name is Andrea and I married Brad on December 13th, 2008. We bought a house with over an acre of property about 20 minutes from where I grew up and we are now in the too fun process of renovating! (Note: sarcasm does not translate well in type)

The amount of property to me is a blessing and a curse all rolled into one fun little experience. The reason being I despise yard work! In all forms no if, ands, or buts about it I would much rather clean the bathrooms than rake, mow, or dig. Plus, THE ANIMALS! OMG THE ANIMALS! We have skunk, wood chuck, deer (not too bad), raccoon, squirrel, and owls on our property. First fun fact about Andrea: I hate animals, except dogs. Everything else scares me, with the exception of dolphins and deer. If it has a tail or is a rodent missing a tail (yes, I'm talking about you, Hamster) I am probably scared of it. Sometimes I really feel like I'm in an episode of Green Acres.

So, you're probably asking yourself why if I'm terrified of everything living on my property, do I live where I do. My answer is twofold:

1.I love having people over for bonfires in the fall and we have enough property to make that happen.

2. My husband LOVES it out here...and I love my husband.

I love how #2, should probably be my #1 answer, but you have to keep husbands on their toes! :)
